James Stephenson is a British designer, maker, and artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. After graduating from Northumbria University in 2024, he began his practice, where he studied Furniture and Product Design.

 Stephenson’s practice draws inspiration from Narrative, Craft, Form, Materiality and the unity of these elements. He uses these influences to create work imbued with a tactile quality, resulting in pieces that reflect a dialogue between functional art and well-considered design.
