Collection: BY GEORGE EXON

A love for silliness and a refusal to take furniture seriously under any circumstances, George’s Practice is rooted in the idea that play should exist in all elements in the design and production of a piece. He believes that if the process of making the piece if fun, it will be reflected in the final product, and will often opt for experimentation with form and process, over intense drawing and planning of the piece he is going to make.

George’s work is also reflective of his hatred of sharp corners, and he will always opt for an oversized curve. Oversized, Colourful, and commanded by soft shapes, his work is has a strong sense of humour, whether this is through the shapes chosen, the references and decontextualisation of the everyday, or the way it is displayed... it is fun to its core.
