The MORA Floor Lamp brings together a monolithic hardwood base and a softly illuminated, layered paper structure, exploring the balance between solidity and lightness, permanence and movement.
Crafted from hand-oiled ebonised sapele using specialist woodworking techniques, the architectural base emphasises proportion, clean lines and the natural character of the wood. Above, specialist plant-based paper is shaped through tension and fold into a gently undulating form, transforming under illumination to reveal texture, depth and a warm, diffused glow.
Together, these contrasting materials and making processes create a sculptural lighting object that feels grounded in material and animated by light.
Collaboratively designed and handcrafted by lighting designer-maker Riya Panchal of MESEME Studio and designer-maker Dex Vallon of Atelier Korbo.
