Momento Bowls is a limited-edition collection of functional sculptures by Jordan Keaney, made from copper, brass, and aluminium. Each bowl begins as a spun form on the lathe, giving the series a shared silhouette. From there, every piece is uniquely hand-shaped using a process of heating, hammering, and raising, guided by the properties of the metal itself.
Copper’s heat-softened malleability creates broad undulations; brass offers more structured, rigid forms; and aluminium’s natural softness results in delicate, cloud-like impressions. The interiors are powder-coated, sage green (copper), imperial red (brass), and shadow blue (aluminium), while exteriors are mirror-polished by hand. With nine large and nine small bowls, each is signed, numbered, and one of a kind. Though functional, these vessels are sculptural, offering tactile and emotional depth. Momento reflects how the pressures we face shape our outcomes: each mark is a moment held permanently in metal, like a memory made physical.
