For London Design Festival 2025, we hosted a car boot sale in collaboration with Formd.

Car boot sales are spaces of chance, community, and quiet chaos, where the past lives of objects are on display and value
is found in the overlooked. The Car Boot Sale captures this spirit and reinterprets it as something poetic and complex.

Designers were invited to explore the concept freely, encouraged to use repurposed and reused materials while considering the layered histories, hidden value, and personal narratives that car boot sales evoke. The result is a diverse collection of works that are sculptural, functional, reflective, and often playful, each revealing a distinct response to the theme.

Together, the pieces consider memory, material afterlives, and the choices we make about what to discard, preserve, or
transform.

We ended up with over 1,000 people through the doors in just six days, and were named one of Dezeen’s top five shows of 2025.

All work from the show is now available in The Car Boot Sale Collection click here to view.
